A friend had to illustrate something in DC… an icon, a landmark, park..etc.. Of course there are tons of iconic images…
However, since this was the umpteenth DC illo she’s done, she was running out of things. In helping her research I came across Lady Freedom and fell in love (aww).
She looks awesome.. see?
She skinned an eagle, plucked it and stretched its skin over her helmet of freedom and then pinned stars on it. That’s pretty metal. You can read more about Lady Freedom HERE
So she was begging to be drawn.. I drew her & main elements in AI and finished it off in PS. With some help from Go Media’s wings!
